My name is Josh Swenk, and I’m 31 years old, originally from Santa Maria, California. I joined the Air Force in 2013 and served just over 12 active years as Vehicle Ops, and a Training Leader for Special Warfare, then medically retired in 2025. I graduated from Brandman University with my BA in education in 2024.

In early 2022, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream of starting my own business. That’s when Swenkey Designs, LLC was born, beginning with just a single laser. Through dedication and determination, I taught myself everything I needed to know to grow the business. I now run our engraving business full-time. Every day, I work to improve my craft and fulfill orders, and I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. My wife, Kaitlyn, has been by my side through it all—we’ve been together for eight years, despite dating long-distance for three of those years from California to Japan. Together, we’ve built a wonderful life filled with many rescue animals, and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes us next.

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Swenk, 31 years old and from Santa Maria, California. I’ve been in the veterinary field for 12 years and have worked as a registered vet tech for the last six. Animals have always been my passion. My dream is to one day open an animal sanctuary for all the broken and homeless animals that need a safe place. Besides my work with animals, I also help Josh with our business, Swenkey Designs, running things behind the scenes. I take care of shopping, promotions, website management, and help out with some of the more intricate projects. I love being able to support our business while staying true to my passion for rescuing animals.
